Company Overview ...
In 1979, two brothers, Sam and Jim Snyder, recognized that Boston's high-tech companies, especially those producing high-dollar value capital equipment (e.g., medical, semiconductor, defense) were searching for better solutions for their low-volume, close-tolerance plastic parts needs. These companies wanted
- short time to first article
- minimal tooling costs
- parts in a variety of materials to meet a wide range of tough performance specifications
- flexibility to incorporate design changes without expensive and lengthy tooling modifications, and
- first rate engineering and project management support
The Snyders formed what is now Polymer Corporation and developed a unique Liquid Resin Casting™ process to meet these needs. Over the years, they continued to refine and extend this process and became widely recognized for their technical advances. As a result, Polymer became the world's leading manufacturer of liquid resin cast parts.
Polymer today has evolved from a small, family-owned business into a substantial company owned by a select group of major institutional investors. Still focused exclusively on low-volume manufacturing of high-precision plastic parts and assemblies, we offer
- Liquid Resin Casting™
- Injection molding
- Machining
- Quick-turn ProtoParts™
Many of our customers rely on us for more than one of these processes as a product progresses through its life cycle.
Polymer services blue chip customers nationwide from two ISO 9001:2000 certified facilities in the U.S. We also produce injection molded parts and tooling in Asia.
